Serious though. I telephoned & talked to Sil Willcox today. Mentioned the websites. He said he would look at them.
Outlook?
Not good.
His recommendation?
Cease the contents of your web sites now!
Sil said that Jet Black just went to court last week & sued some people for piracy.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad vibes.
It looks like they want all the p's they can squeeze out of whatever....?!!!!

Well - there you go. I am not sure that the material any of us had would have affected The Stranglers sales in anyway - indeed - you are actively encouraged to go and buy their music on this site! In some respects - because we were providing the material completly free to anyone who visited the site you could argue that we were hurting the Bootllegers more - because people wouldn't need to buy the things in the first place - alright - I accept that we bought them thus encouraging trade in them. I also accept the comments The Stranglers have made before that demos aren't released because they are not of a good enough quality - well fair enough - but many of us are interested in how the song grows and matures into the final product.
Anyhow - 'cos I don't want my head kicking in by the band - nor do I want to be fined large quantities of money for providing a free and what I thought was an interesting service - I have taken them off - never to be played again!
So there you go!
Thanks for you all visiting the page over the last few months - its been fun!
Needless to say - the rest of the site will continue as before
